Want To Buy Truck Accessories Online?

Friday, August 22nd, 2008

We love our trucks. According to the Automotive News Data Center there were 8,269,351 trucks and SUVs sold in 2007. And according to Kicking Tires, “pickup trucks are the lifeblood of the auto industry, contributing an estimated $5,000 to $15,000 to automakers’ coffers for each one sold”.

A truck is not simply a mode of commuting, at least for us Americans, but it is a reflection of our personality as well. So we spend even more money, after the initial purchase, to add some great accessories to give our pickups that “personal touch”. Truck accessories play an important role in not only improving the look of our truck, but improving what others see and think about us and our trucks.

A good quality truck accessory not only looks good, but it can also serve to protect your pickup from wear and tear. There are both interior and exterior truck accessories and truck parts from which to choose.

INTERIOR TRUCK ACCESSORIES

Interior truck accessories are effective in not only increasing your comfort while traveling in your truck, but also helping to keep the interior clean and free from permanent damage. Damage caused by normal use, weather, dirt, and the likes will decrease the value of your truck, making interior truck accessories an investment worth considering.

EXTERIOR TRUCK ACCESSORIES AND PARTS

Whether your vehicle is a luxurious car, SUV, or truck, you should take care when installing exterior truck parts. Most exterior parts come with complete installation manuals, or you may need to consider having a professional install your truck accessories for you.

Exterior truck accessories include parts like; window vent shades, or rain guards, sunroof deflectors, window graphics, bed rails, handle covers, bull bars, and fender trim to name just a few. These custom truck parts come in stainless steel, black, and are available for many, many different truck makes, models and sizes.

Where to buy used motorcycle parts from?

Friday, August 15th, 2008

Next time when damage occurs to your motorcycle, you will think twice to buy new body parts. The best option at this time is to go for used motorcycle parts. They will help you to save your money greatly. You can see that when you get your vehicle repaired, it costs you less with used motorcycle parts.

Are you in search of a place to buy used motorcycle parts? There are various options from where you can make a choice. You can buy used motorcycle parts from a dealer who has brand name. This is the safest way to buy used motorcycle parts. The general dealer shop is another source from where you can buy used motorcycle parts. You can get different brands in such general dealer shops. They have parts that are suitable for bikes of different quality. They might not be selling branded products or products removed from branded motorcycles. If you are not in much contact with the dealer or if he is a stranger to you, it is better to buy from the owner directly than to go for a general dealer. Such possibilities may not always be feasible to you and that’s why more and more people search online when such a need arises.

Auctions are another place from where you can get used motorcycle parts. This is a suitable place only for experienced people. Those beginners who are not that aware of auctions should not depend on them to buy used motorcycle parts.

Buying from the previous owner is another option to buy used motorcycle parts. Here you will have a chance to know more about the product and the history about it. You will come to know the entire details concerning the bike. Now you get a chance to negotiate with the owner when the price matter comes in. if he is a person whom you know before, there are chances that you get the used motorcycle parts at reduced rate. The difficulty with this option is that when you are not that aware of the market rate of used motorcycle parts, you will be cheated.

The last option is to depend on online shops for buying used motorcycle products. You get chances to search for the product you are looking for directly in the website. With the help of the reviews, you can know more about each internet shop selling used motorcycle parts. This is the most useful and beneficial method to buy used motorcycle parts. This is the easiest and simplest method as you can collect the complete details online sitting at your home.

When buying used motorcycle parts always try to pay ready cash. When you are ready to pay the cash at the time of delivery, the seller will also be ready to come for negotiation of price. Make sure that you are buying from the most trustworthy source. Since you are buying used motorcycle parts, the quality can be a problem. You must not be ready to compromise the quality of the product for the price, which will lead you to trouble.

Popular market of trailers industry

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

As an industry, the manufacture of trailers dates back only half a dozen years, but it has grown rapidly until today there are seventy-five or more trailer manufacturers in the country, and several are exporting to foreign countries.

Trailers are made in a wide variety of types and capacities for all sorts of purposes, ranging from the little pneumatic tired two-wheel trailer of 500 pounds capacity, to be attached behind runabouts and touring cars, to ten-ton and fifteen-ton trailers and semi-trailers, hauled by powerful tractors and motor trucks. These include car haulers, dump trailers, utility trailers, equipment trailers etc. Size is one of the main considerations while looking for a trailer. The maximum towing capacity and maximum tongue weight of your tow vehicle are limiting factors.

Utility trailers are of great use for both home owners and contactors as well. These multipurpose utility trailers are available in varied sizes so as to cater to your specific requirements like for lifting lawn mowers, vehicles, golf carts as well as ideal for hauling small equipment too. Car haulers are used for specific purpose of hauling your vehicles, including personal car or racing car. Apart from car haulers, another variety is equipment trailer which are used to transfer skid loaders, excavators, and small tractors. Dump trailers are used for small purposes at homes as well as for commercial purposes. These types of dump trailers are available in various types of models, sizes and weights.

The use of dump trailers has been gaining in popularity as one of the most cost effective means for handling tear-off removal. Licensing fees, insurance costs and maintenance expenses associated with a dump truck are astronomical in most parts of the country. The use of dump trailers is a more cost effective and more versatile method for handling tear-off debris.

A gooseneck trailer is also an important variety of trailers that has been introduced especially for heavy loads and towing of equipments as these trailers have an enhanced stability and tighter turning of radius. For more information on equipment trailers, dump trailers, gooseneck trailers, utility trailers.

Good Cars For Teenagers

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

Teenagers and their parents tend to have different objectives and priorities when it comes to cars, although it’s often not difficult for the two parties to come to a mutually agreeable decision, especially when each party is willing to compromise a little. Most teenagers place considerable importance on a car’s style (sporty), appearance (cool), performance (fast), size (room for friends), and accessories (customization).

The first issue that most young drivers and their parents usually struggle with when deciding on a first car is that of cost, which typically leads to the issue of used-versus-new.

An older car is certainly going to cost less than a brand new model. However, older used cars will generally be less reliable, may develop unexpected repair expenses, have fewer safety features, and not be as attractive as a newer model. On the other hand, insurance cost and taxes can be less.

Many teenagers prefer to buy an inexpensive older used car, such as the ever-popular Honda Car (Civic), and spend money to repair it and customize it to meet their needs. However, these added costs can easily get out of hand and exceed the price of a new car.

Just keep in mind that newer cars tend to have better safety equipment, better reliability, improved gas mileage, and, in some cases, lower insurance rates - because of better safety and reliability. Some older cars have high insurance rates because they are more often stolen (for parts) than new models. Honda Accords from the early 1990s are a good example.

Although most of the following recommendations are for smaller, less expensive vehicles, many teenagers prefer to drive larger vehicles such as SUVs and trucks. We don’t recommend large used SUVs for teens due to the higher skill required to control them in emergency situations, the high cost of operation, and expensive insurance. Even smaller SUVs such as the Ford Escape, Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and the Nissan Xterra are much less stable than a conventional sedan or coupe.

Truck full of extinguishers destroyed by fire

Monday, August 11th, 2008

Lancaster Township Fire Department was dispatched at 4:19 p.m for a vehicle fire at 1405 Wabank Road for a truck loaded with fire extinguishers and other firefighting equipment.

The 1991 Ford F-350 Super Duty box truck is used by Lancaster Safety Technologies, a company that specializes in fire extinguisher sales, inspections and recharges.

“As far as the fire extinguisher truck catching on fire — I thought it was a little ironic,” Lancaster Township Fire Lt. Greg Leaman said.

When firefighters arrived at the scene they found the commercial box truck with a well involved engine fire parked at a house across the street from St. Joseph’s athletic fields and the Hershey Heritage Village Apartments entrance.

The truck was parked under a number of trees near the home, scorching the foliage above the vehicle. Firefighters also were concerned about the fire spreading to two vehicles parked on the left side of the truck.

A second Ford pickup truck parked two feet away from the burning vehicle was saved when fighters attacked the fire from the driver’s side, instead of hitting the fire from the passenger side where they hadale sbetter access.

A turn signal casing on the second truck melted.

Lancaster Township Fire Chief Ron Comfort Jr. determined that the fire was accidental, caused by a block heater plugged into the truck.

The truck’s owner, Jerry Lefever, was having trouble with the motor and plugged in an engine block heater connected to an outdoor electrical outlet.

Lefever said the block heater overheated, leading to the fire.

Searching for a Semi Truck or a Heavy Truck can be difficult. With so many Companies taking advantage of building their own truck search engines/databases one might ask how it is that we differentiate ourselves from the competition. Well in one example our business is Truckers not trucks. Let me explain. While many companies out there are focusing on only making profits as a result of advertising trucks on the Internet, we are going the extra mile to not only focus on what produces revenues but on what a trucker really needs, which is certainly more than just having a truck. We have successfully built a web site where people can find great trucks, and also find insurance quotes, financing, dot inspection, transportation etc…. We also built other divisions that serve not only the people looking for a truck, but for existing drivers who are in love with their truck but need parts or services to tune up.

Kenworth K100. A Heavy Duty Cab Over

Thursday, August 7th, 2008

With its familiar red and white KW badge, Kenworth has always been a name synonymous with heavy duty trucking in Australia. The Kenworth K100 cab-over carries on in this tradition. It’s available in both flat roof and Aerodyne models.

Whether you’re pulling a single trailer or a B-Double or even a B-Triple, the Kenworth K100 may just meet your heavy duty truck needs. And with specialist models such as twin steer and tri-drives also sold in Australia, particularly for the logging and mining industries, there are many options available for specialist haulers looking for the right used truck, although they may not be as easy to find.

Driver comfort and safety
This cab-over Kenworth model has been designed with driver comfort and safety in mind. From a safety perspective, the K100 includes four way mirrors which allow the driver to effectively see behind the trailer. Cabin visibility is assisted by the wrap-around dashboard and a deep windscreen which is available in either single or double screen styles. The wrap-around dash puts all the controls within easy reach of the driver. Many used trucks will also have peeper windows in the doors for that extra visibility and enhanced road safety. These peeper windows are available as an optional extra when sold new so not all used Kenworth K100s will have them included. The cab-over design offers both driver and passengers a smooth ride combined with excellent handling.

The Aerodyne cab-over
If you are after the added aerodynamic performance and fuel efficiency of the lightweight fibreglass Aerodyne model, then the K100 offers both single and bunk bed configurations for long distance and buddy system driving. Some used trucks will also have optional extras such as overhead lockers and storage shelves. New trucks also have the option to be fitted with TV, VCR and fridge so look out for these when inspecting any one owner or used truck that you are considering buying. The Aerodyne model naturally provides greater fuel economy and comfort for long distance haulage with its increased headroom.
