TRL trucking site included in purchase of 21 acres by another trucking firm, New Prime Inc.
Property transfer documents filed with the Luzerne County Recorder of Deeds show a Missouri company purchased more than 21 acres of land along Armstrong Road, including the site of TRL Inc. trucking, for nearly $6 million.
New Prime Inc., of Springfield, which does business as Prime inc., bought the properties, according to the paperwork filed on Dec. 5.
Stephen P. Hrobuchak, president and chief executive officer of TRL, is listed on the three deeds related to the sales.
A TRL representative said a Prime official will comment later in the week.
But absent the official confirmation of a sale, TRL truck tractors pulling Prime trailers have been seen on Interstate 81. TRL trailers also were removed from the Armstrong Road property and parked in a fenced-in lot along Rocky Glen Road in Moosic.
In addition, comments on truckers’ message boards and information provided to The Times Leader by an employee who said they’d been laid off indicated a sale occurred.
